Our History

Jay Pron Chicken Rice restaurant began in 1999 in Phu Khaio district of Chaiyaphum province, Thailand, started by Jay Pron, the owner and a mother of three, whose intention was to help her husband to increase the income for her family's living expenses. (Chicken Rice is the poached chicken and seasoned rice, served with the restaurant’s special chilli sauce)

Jay Pron has been passionate about food and cooking since she was young. Together with all the skills she has been practicing and the knowledge, she had learned from her dad, who was once a head chef in a Chinese restaurant. She is more certain about running the restaurant herself. As Chicken Rice is her children’s favorite dish, when it came to creating the menu for her restaurant, she decided to make her children's favorite as a main menu. And that is the humble beginning of Jay Pron Chicken Rice.

New chapter

With love, attention, and passion for food, Jay pron has made the restaurant well-known among customers by word of mouth not only in Phu Khaio district but also in Chaiyaphum province.

Even though our restaurant is located in a small district, we always get new customers who travel from other districts of Chiyaphum as well as from other cities. In order to better serve our customers we opened our second location in Chum Phea district of Khon Kaen city, followed by Ban Phai District of Khon kaen city and U D Town in Udonthani. We are also planning to expand our restaurant to the capital of Thailand, Bangkok. With the success of operation for more than 20 years, we recently launched new products including the Chicken Rice ready to cook sauce kit as well as the dipping sauce. These allow customers to cook the Chicken Rice easily at home with a few steps. The products are mainly sold on both physical stores and online channels such as Facebook pages, Instagram, and e-commerce platforms.

Currently, our products are being sold only in Thailand, but we aim to expand regionally to other countries where Asian cuisine is popular and it is difficult to find an authentic restaurant.
